Phase 2 now underway at Swanscombe Residential Development

Planning Permission has now been obtained for the start of Phase 2 of construction at the ‘Blue Anchor' Swanscombe Residential Development just outside of Dartford, Kent... The Garden of England.

The original brown field site was acquired in December 2012 and was previously occupied by a redundant public house and a block of lock-up garages that had been demolished ready for disposal. This is a superb new housing development consisting of fourteen high specification contemporary dwellings.

Phase 1 of the project began in early March 2013 with the construction of nine individual 3 bedroom terraced, end of terrace and semi-detached houses. The projected completion date for Phase 1 is planned for November 2013 with Phase 2 of the project projected to start immediately afterwards.

Phase 2 will consist of a further five 2 & 3 bedroom terraced, end of terrace and detached houses to finish off this exciting development in a very sought after location close to amenities like the Bluewater Shopping Complex as well as easy public service access into London and the Channel Tunnel Rail link.

A plan was announced in October 2012 to build a major theme park on 872 acres of brown field land on the Swanscombe peninsula (the triangular piece of land that juts into the River Thames). The project, dubbed ‘Paramount Kent', would create upwards of 27,000 jobs and as such would have the capacity to transform the local economy and make potential housing in the area a very lucrative investment indeed.
